This position involves overseeing multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously, in addition to organizing, staffing, and coordinating workflow for engagements. The Manager is responsible for training staff, developing relationships to generate new business, and playing a key role in client retention.Primary DutiesManage all stages of audit and review engagements concurrently on multiple projectsRegularly liaise with clients to keep informed on their operations and systems, fostering strong client relationshipsUpdate the Director or Partner on client account developments; identify issues and provide solutionsShowcase expertise in technical skills, work quality, and adherence to professional and Firm standardsEnsure efficient scheduling of engagementsFamiliarize oneself with the firm's audit methodologyCreate, monitor, and stick to budgets for Assurance and Advisory engagements; address budget overruns proactivelyForesee engagement problems and potential queriesReview financial statements and other client deliverablesDirect, train, supervise, and review the work of senior and staff accountantsConduct staff performance reviews and provide ongoing feedbackParticipate in the Firm’s Business Development initiativesRequirementsKey Qualifications:Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldMinimum of five years of public accounting experience, with a focus on public sector auditing (e.g., cities, counties, special districts, charter schools)Possess a valid and current CPA licenseDesired Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate effectivelyPrioritize tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines consistentlyIn-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP and GASB standardsExtensive experience conducting audits following GAGAS, GAAS, and the Uniform GuidanceOpen to training, supervision, and constructive feedbackCapable of guiding, reviewing, and training staff at all levelsExperience with audits of not-for-profit organizationsWorking EnvironmentHybrid work arrangement (remote, office, or client site) as necessary for client service and staff trainingSame-day travel to client sites, meetings, and seminars, as requiredOccasional out-of-town travel with overnight stays for client work, meetings, or seminarsOvertime expected when needed, especially from August to FebruaryFirst Name(Required)Last Name(Required)Email(Required)PhoneResumeResume(Required)Max. file size: 100 MB.MessageDo you agree to receive text messages from Gables Search Group sent from (440) 951-9990 & (440) 951-9991?
